SENSORY CLASSES

One of the goals of the “Outside the Box” program is to incorporate “sensory learning” into the curriculum. Studies show that even the youngest infants learn from this type of modality, and it is considered to be “integrative” learning. The overall benefits include improvement in perception, understanding and the ability to learn. We often see specific improvement in processing time, sensitivities, sleep patterns, awareness and attention, speech, memory, expression and social skills. These photos include some of our babies involved in a sensory learning activity. For more information and related research on sensory learning, please see “Benefits of Sensory Learning”.
